Worry-Free Computing

Why is PC maintenance so important?  The answer to this question would be obvious, but who has time to do this every single day?  Who thinks about defragging once a month, running thorough scans for viruses and other malware daily, etc.  There is a misconception that software will take care of all your issues.  This statement is far from the truth.  In fact, many PC owners who purchase antivirus software and get infected are left wondering, “What did I pay for?”.  While Antivirus software is an important piece of PC maintenance and protection, it is just that – a piece.  Many new viruses, or variations of viruses, are created daily.  Quickly, the maker of your software tries to come up with a vaccine for the virus and send it out to all users before they get infected.  Have you has this pop-up, “Your AV Database is out of date…” – something along those lines.  Don’t just push the remind me later button, UPDATE IT.  These updates are made to protect you.  If the updates don’t get to you soon enough, you may become infected.

In order to keep your PC running like brand new, it takes a good maintenance regimine, along with tools neccessary to thoroughly scan through your PC for any possible infections.  But how can you possibly remember to do all these things?  Now, you don’t have to with My Tech Team.
