The IFA fair in Berlin is definitely the main event of the week, the most important technology manufacturers were there in order to present their latest products. Stay here for the most important news from IFA 2011.
In this week’s wrap up:
IFA 2011: Samsung MultiView MV800 – Samsung has presented at the IFA fair, held in Berlin these days, Samsung MultiView MV800 – a photo camera with a 3-inch touch screen. The camera allows photographing, recording and viewing images from any angle. Samsung MultiView MV800 has 16.1 megapixels and 5x optical zoom (Schneider-KREUZNACH lens), a dual image stabilization system, face recognition and ISO 3200. According to the company’s officials, Samsung hopes it will establish, by launching this new camera, a new trend in the industry.

IFA 2011: Toshiba Launches its First Ultrabook – Portege Z830 – Toshiba Portege Z830 has a quite refined design, being very thin. Besides its outlook, Toshiba Portege Z830 can also be proud of its excellent technical specifications. The ultrabook has a 13.3-inch screen with LED Backlit technology, resolution of 1366×768 pixels, supports up to 6GB RAM and runs on an Intel Core i7 processor. In terms of connectivity, Toshiba Portege Z830 has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 3.0, two ports USB 2.0, HDMI and VGA. The ultrabook also has a 1.3-megapixel camera. The slim appearance is supported by the 15.9 mm thickness. In addition, the body is made of magnesium. Portege Z830 will hit the market in November 2011 and the estimated price is around $ 1000.

IFA 2011: Sony Launches Two Tablets, Sony S and Sony P – Both tablets are running Android, are named Sony S and Sony P and have been presented during the IFA fair in Berlin. If Sony S respects the “standard” model used in terms of tablet design, Sony P will be quite a special tablet, having two folding screens. The tablet allows using both in the same time or only one. Sony didn’t specify the technical specifications of the two-screen tablet, and gave few details about the Sony Tablet S, which features a 9.4-inch screen. Both, however, have the Sony TruBlack and Bravia technologies and has storage capacities of 16 and 32 GB, respectively. Sony S will be launched later this month for a MSRP of $ 479, while Sony P will hit the stores in November at prices around $ 599.

Apple To Launch a TV in 2012 – Rumors that Apple will attack the TV market, in the presumed direct competition with Google, catches more and more contour. Unlike Google, Apple will not only come with streaming service or rental shows, but it will produce one single kit that will include a TV, which will run, according to rumors, the iOS. Considering the forecasts of other analysts who were saying, after the resignation of Steve Jobs, Tim Cook, the new CEO of Apple, will have to face an immediate challenge (the imposition on the digital video segment), the launch of Apple TV might not be possible.
Facebook Starts to Sing – Facebook will launch next month a music platform through an association with the online services Edio, MOG and Spotify. Thus, the users will be able to listen music while they are logged in on Facebook. The official announcement of the new music platform will be made on September 22, at the annual conference that brings together the company’s developers. Unlike Apple, Google and Amazon, which have already launched such services, Facebook will not host directly and will not allow the streaming through that platform, but will base its service on the partners that will provide the content.
