With devices like Amazon’s Kindle and Barnes and Nobles Nook becoming increasingly popular, people are becoming more interested in eBooks and ePublishing. Even big name authors like J. R. R. Tolkien, Stephen King, James Patterson and Neal Stephenson are available in digital formats. Some authors are even working for publishers who only publish books electronically. However there are still many people who prefer the feel of a traditional book in their hands.
If you want to read digital books then you have options besides buying an expensive piece of hardware specifically for the purpose. There are many programs available for your computer or handheld device that you can use. Since there are many formats used with eBooks, which reader you choose will often depend on where you get your content. If you download all of your content from Amazon.com’s Kindle store you will want to either buy a Kindle or download the Kindle reader for PC, iPod touch, iPhone, Blackberry or the soon to be released Kindle for Android. Downloads from Barnes and Noble are handled with either the nook or by downloading the B&N eReader. Small ePublishers often sell books direct from their sites providing links to the eBook readers that are necessary.

I use ibooks on my iphone and love it, I wish the screen was a bit larger but I have read quite a few books on it with no issues.
