Milestone 2 was just launched yesterday, fresh from Motorola’s oven. Motorola’s latest Android™ 2.2 gadget is packed with 1 GHz processor, making it possible to open a number of browsers and run multiple apps at the same time, without the sluggishness. The android device is also spruced up with MOTOBLUR and Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1, supports video and HD video recording, customizable screens and capacity to access a wide range of applications, allowing users to do more customization and multimedia tasks.
Motorola’s messaging solution, MOTOBLUR, makes it easy to manage texts, emails and social media updates. You can filter messages, resize widgets and manage security and battery life. The Motorola Milestone 2 comes with an 8 GB micro SD for storage and an expandable memory of 32 GB, allowing a user to have up to 40 GB of storage. You can store all your files, pictures, videos, e-books, games and apps all in a single device.
The Adobe® Flash® Player combined with Android 2.2 and a 1 GHz processor allows faster mobile browsing. You can also seamlessly view HD videos form the web and gives you excellent graphics for your games. You can be a multi tasking guru, with a device that allows you up to 8 open web browsers and 7 apps running at the same time.
Milestone 2 lets you capture life’s unexpected moments in high definition, with a 5 mega pixel camera and a 720 pixel HD video capture. You can share your multimedia files to DLNA compatible devices like your television. A Media Player extension gives lyrics to your mp3 collection, as well as information on your favorite artists. It is also integrated with sharing apps straight to your social network. This android will not be complete without Google’s mobile suite apps that include Google Search, Gmail, Maps and YouTube. Android Market ™ is also integrated in the device, giving you access to over 70,000 apps.
Apart from power and speed and a Milestone 2 spacious QWERTY slide keyboard with better response time and larger raised keys, great for a text marathon or sending a quick email. It uses SWYPE® technology that allows you to trace your messages in the virtual keypad without lifting your finger. If your tired of texting, simply tap the mic icon and say your text reply, the Milestone 2 types it for you. How cool is that!
Connectivity is also not an issue for this power device with 3G hotspot capabilities allowing you to connect up to 5 Wi-Fi devices, now you can turn a coffee shop meeting to a working break or a hold a mini Real Soccer 2010 tournament.
More than just a smartphone the Milestone 2 is being called a genius device that boasts of speed powered by OMAP by Texas Instrument and Google’s open source V8 JavaScript engine. It is definitely the smartphone to watch in the following moths. It will be released in Europe by the fourth quarter of 2010.
