Mozilla Firefox is the top ranking browser today and has been in the previous years, for good reason. Apart from being one of the original free browsers, Firefox is an open-source browser, highly customizable with about a few hundred downloadable add-ons. This web browser is known for its speed, clean interface and easy navigation. To get more out of your browsing experience, here are a few Firefox tips and tricks that you may find useful.
- Easy Bookmarking – You can save time and keep track pf your favorite sites with just one click. Once you are on the page you would like to bookmark, simply click on the star icon and Firefox will add it to your favorites list. Click twice and it allows you to edit the site’s title and link or remove it from your list. Tags is another interesting feature where you can add a specific tag or label to the site, like “online computer repair” so that it groups your favorites into similar categories, simply add a comma between each tag. Next time you want to access computer repair sites, simply type online computer repair on the address bar and it will bring up similar sites that you have bookmarked and tagged.

- Quick Site Security Tip – Firefox helps users identify the integrity of the site that they are viewing. It’s important to know who you are dealing with, especially those sites you use for banking, e-commerce and other secured sites. These are common targets of website phishing and spoofing to scam users and steal their money and information. Simply click on the websites icon and it should tell you if the site is to be trusted by showing the following warnings:

- Shrink and Add icons – making your icons smaller may not be a top priority for some, but is you are working on a tablet or notebook screen real estate is an issue. You can shrink your icons by going to the customize toolbar screen and checking the box before “Use Small Icons” or do away with graphics and choose “Text” on the drop down menu. You can also add or remove the icons by dragging them to and from the Customize Toolbar screen.

- Explore your options – the key to getting most out of Firefox is learning about your add-ons and choosing those that fit your needs. To access Add-ons simply go to the Add-ons Manager via your Tools options and have your day with more than 5,000 cool choices.

- Customize your Email – often when you want to send a link, page, or email it opens up the Mail program on Mac or Outlook on Windows. These may be convenient, but not exactly the email program you want. With Firefox you can customize your email settings and even use webmail services like Yahoo and Gmail. Simply choose the email program you want by going to Tools>Options>Applications and look for the Mailto settings, here’s how;
