Facebook is working on a new translation system that allows the automatic conversion of messages into several foreign languages. Translation app will be included on wall and will give the user the ability to translate, instantly, both messages received and those sent to other users.
Thus, the software will allow users to expand the number of friends, given the removal of language barriers. Studies have shown, however, that users who speak different languages do not really interact with each other because the translation with other sites, such as Google Translate, is cumbersome and inaccurate.
The project is part of Mark Zuckerberg’s plans to extend the range of services dedicated to users, given that the social-network competition has become fiercer with the launch of Google+.
So far, the translations using Facebook Translate are available only for few languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Chinese.
Currently, the “Translate” button is used in closed circuit. It is not known when Facebook will make it available on all the pages.
Facebook to Launch Facebook Music?

According to CNBC, in addition to the translation system, Facebook will also launch, on September 22, a new music platform, during the F8 conference in San Francisco.
Facebook will not become a music retailer like Apple with its iTunes. The social network will only be the platform on which Pandora, Spotify, Rdio, MOG and other music retailers will be able to play and sell their products.
Analysts say the launch of Facebook Music will create a new market with huge potential, considering the 750 million users of Facebook services.
